Following its landslide victory at the UK General Election on 4 July, the new government is now exploring how it will deliver on its mandate for change.  It will need to develop and implement the policy detail that underpinned its pitch to voters – and tackle the realities of government across a number of areas where it has not developed a position.  It will need to work out what levers it already has to bring about the change at pace that it promised and in what areas it will need to pass new primary or secondary legislation.

To help explain some of the key considerations for the new government, Robert Gardener, Andrew Eaton and Telha Arshad from our Public Law and Policy team, recorded some short videos on the day after the elections results were announced.
