The governor of the CBB, Rasheed Al Maraj, issued a warning against bitcoin. During a Shura Council session, he said that bitcoin is not recognised by the CBB. He also mentioned that using bitcoin in Bahrain is illegal. However, Bharani citizens have the right to invest in cryptocurrencies outside Bahrain.
