The Act aims to incorporate other fragmented pieces of AI legislation, and will form the statutory foundation regulating AI in Korea. The Act includes obligations that are aimed to protect users of AI-based services by ensuring the trustworthiness of AI through greater transparency, notifications and certification of certain AI systems.
