Mongolia held parliamentary elections on 28 June 2024 under a new electoral framework.

The 2023 constitutional amendments increased the size of the unicameral State Great Khural from 76 to 126 seats, with 48 chosen by proportional representation from party lists and 78 by first-past-the-post for geographic constituencies. The amendments also reduced the number of electoral districts from 29 to 13.

Prime Minister Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene’s ruling Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) won 68 seats in parliament, the Democratic Party won 42 seats and the HUN party 8 seats. Smaller parties won the remaining seats.

Mongolia has a population of 3.49 million and around 2 million registered voters. Turnout in the 2024 election was 69.8%.
